About Us

Brief History and mission

Welcome to the heart of community engagement and empowerment — London APSA Youth Project (LAYP). Nestled in the vibrant borough of Newham, we are dedicated to fostering positive change and personal development among the youth of Manor Park (High Street North), Forest Gate, and East Ham.

Our Roots:

Our journey traces back to the fervent spirit of the original London APSA FC team. Formed in the 90s by a group of Newham College students from East Ham, this team not only thrived as a semi-professional club but also served as a powerful platform for the young people of East Ham and Forest Gate. While the original club may be defunct, its legacy lives on through LAYP, as we strive to continue the mission of empowering the next generation.

Our Vision:

As a community-driven organisation, we envision a future where the youth of East Ham and Forest Gate are equipped with the tools they need to thrive. By nurturing talents, fostering resilience, and instilling a strong sense of community, we aim to contribute significantly to the well-being and success of our young individuals.

Join us on this transformative journey at LAYP as we continue the legacy of the original London APSA FC team. Together, we inspire, empower, and make a lasting impact on the lives of the young people in our community.
