Congratulations to our Under 13s who reached the League Cup Final before narrowly losing 5-3 to Ultra Red FC. After trailing 3-1, the boys showed incredible determination to fight back and level the game with two quick goals. Unfortunately, Ultra Red scored twice late on to secure the trophy. Despite the result, reaching the final was a fantastic achievement for our combined Newham and Redbridge squad and the players should be extremely proud of their efforts.

LAYP is delighted to launch its Girls Football Programme, providing opportunities for girls to participate in regular football training and development sessions. The programme aims to increase participation, build confidence and create new pathways into grassroots football.

LAYP has officially launched its Winter Football Programme, providing young people with opportunities to stay active throughout the colder months. The programme combines football coaching, fitness and personal development in a safe and positive environment.

LAYP Under 15s attended Sporting Bengal FC's Step 5 fixture against Hackney Wick FC. The visit gave players an insight into semi professional football and helped inspire them to continue working hard towards their own football ambitions.

LAYP Under 15s lifted the Summer League Cup after an entertaining 5-3 victory over St Antony FC in the final. The players showed great character and attacking quality to secure the win and celebrate another memorable achievement.

LAYP Under 15s were crowned Passmore Edwards Cup champions after defeating Shade Youth 7-1 in the final. The team produced an excellent display to secure the trophy and complete another successful campaign.

LAYP Under 15s produced a remarkable performance to win the NYFL Gold Cup Final, defeating Star Ballers 12-0. The result capped off an excellent competition for the team and highlighted the progress made throughout the season.

With a new season fast approaching, players across all age groups continue to work hard in training. Sessions remain focused on player development, fitness and ensuring teams are fully prepared for the challenges ahead.

Members of the LAYP Under 15s attended a meeting with Newham Council to discuss challenges facing young people in the borough. The event gave young people the opportunity to share their views and contribute to discussions around youth services and community development.

LAYP continues to deliver football coaching and youth development programmes across all age groups throughout Newham and East London. Weekly sessions focus on participation, confidence building, health and wellbeing, while providing young people with a safe and positive environment to develop.

LAYP welcomed local residents, families and young people to its annual summer community BBQ at the DH Centre, Manor Park. The event brought the community together for an afternoon of food, activities and positive engagement. We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the event.
